Willow valley Mental hospital

We live by a old early 1900's mental hospital that closed down in the 70's.We went there walked around and we heard something knocking from the inside.We then walked around to the other side and it sounded like someone was pulling wood or something off the walls from the inside.This place is boarded up with no way in.Other people have said they have seen lights going on and off from inside and there is no power to this place at all.Nevada city ca Willow valley mental hospital.

I made the 45 minute drive up to Nevada City in order to explore the asylum. It is completely boarded up and the only open window was two stories up. The place is covered in vulgar graffiti and I urge people to take precautions when exploring. The ground is covered in broken glass, dead squirrels, human feces (yes, i found human poop), and some crazy meth heads running around. My friends and I tried to find a way inside for around 2 hours, finding more and more sinister drawings on the sides of the buildings. we did however notice that someone/something is inside of this building. I knocked on a door as a joke and as we were walking away we heard a very distinct and very loud bang/knock on the door. It's safe to say we booked it out of there immediately following that.

I have read and heard some information about this Haunted Hospital. Since I work in the local visitor's center I want to know the location of the Hospital and whether it is still running in order to satisfy inquiries about the place. Can you help me, Please?

This mental hospital Is a lot more sinister than what is written here. This Insane asylum was built in the 1800's and is over 100 years old. It stayed open until 2006 when it closed due to "budget cuts". The willow valley insane asylum was the scene to a 2001 shooting from an out patient that was off his meds. The shooter killed 3 people total 2 at the hospital and 1 at a near by resturant. The building itself over the years served many different purposes not only as a mental hospital but also as a morgue. As of today its borded up with what seems to be no way in but people have said they have heard nosies coming from inside. I personally have visted the asylum and it is truly something from a horror movie.
