hi, looking at your photo up close it looks like someone threw a handless brush but I am thinking that its a bug, in Tennessee do they have cicades? I have seen research done on pictures like this and it almost looks like a bug but it is missing the wave motion on the outside. if you look at the end closest to the camera it looks like something very solid and strait, I still think its a large bug of some kind. I would be checking the house for bugs behind the curtains and windows.
