My family moved into an old 2 story house in Louisburg Ks my Sophmore year of high school. The house is located at 5th &Elm. My room was upstairs as was my brothers and sisters. I had a poltergeist in my room that would play tricks on me. Opening the window in dead of winter etc. I saw the poltergiest several times. It would really scare me. Once when my brother was asleep, lightening came through the wall and struck his bed setting it on fire. He heard someone banging on his door and shouting get out get out. He saw the fire and got out. I wasn't home and mom and dad was downstairs asleep. Downstairs was a lady and a man. The man sat by me one time on the couch, I couldn't see him, just his outline. The lady always smelled of roses so you knew when she was around. We figured all these ghost were friendly as thet seem to watch over us and the house. My mother had a tape of the lady talking, but we burned it thinking that was the best thing to do. After my mom passed away we sold the house it went through several owners very quickly. The last owners changed the house drastically and I spoke with the lady of the house. She was amazed the house never burnt down as there was burned through places on a lot of the wiring in the attic. I asked here if she ever noticed anything unusual, She advised she did not.
