Indepenence, Iowa - The Buchanan County Home

Located outside of Independence, The Buchanan County Home served as the county poor farm, orphanage, mental healthcare facility, and is now owned privately. The building is not open for public investigation, however there was a 2-night event being held over the weekend of November 22, 2013 by an investigation team called Unknown Darkness. I was part of the event staff during the event(s). The team caught several EVPs and many audible responses over the Spirit Box. A 7 foot tall man has been seen as well as a small inhuman creature that crawls through the halls on the floors, walls, and ceiling. The creature is said to be black with red glowing eyes and is hunched over on all fours. Even with large groups, the evidence we caught was still compelling.
