The morning of July 24th, 2015 as my husband and I were preparing to check out of the Hotel Villa Convento on Ursuline Street in New Orleans (3rd floor room 304) He stepped out of the shower, toweled off and proceeded to blow dry his hair at which point I told him that I was going to step out onto the balcony and smoke a cigarette, which I did closing the door behind me. Upon reentry from the balcony, I had trouble opening the door because the dresser to the left of the door had all the drawers pulled out. Once I entered the room I found all the end table draws open and the doors under it flung open. The nightstand was in the same condition. My husband was still blow drying his hair. I asked him why he left open all the dresser and table drawers. He couldn't hear me because of the blow dryer. He shut it off and I asked him again at which point he looked into our sleeping room and immediately dropped the hair dryer. He swears he did not do it and I believe him. Other stories about the Villa Convento revolve around children's voices being heard and ghostly images appearing next to sleeping people but I could not find another experience like ours. I guess this ghost was anxious to see us go or bidding us farewell. Possibly she/he just wanted to make sure we wouldn't forget anything. We took pictures, but I will not upload them as they all just show drawers and doors open.
