There is an old victorian mansion there that was moved from a burial ground either from redlands or riverside. it sits all by itself, you can see it from the fwy. All through high school I had heard stories about it being haunted and how the upstairs bedroom light was always on and how many times it was up for sale. Everyone that lived there moved out. And that they were trying to film a movie there but too many accidents were occuring. Well I never was able to go there to check it out until the summer of 1997. I was 37 and had my 7 year old twin girls with me at the time. I had to exchange cars with my boyfriend who worked in Ontario, and we lived up in Hesperia. So on the way home I looked over and saw the mansion, and at the time had heard it was up for sale for a half million. So I didn't have anything to do that day and it was a really nice day, so I got off on sierra and drove by it at first. There was a white car parked in front, looked like a possible realators car, so I turned around and went back. The gates were locked and it was all fenced in, but there was a couple walking around the grounds. So as I was calling them over to ask how they got in, my girls had slipped through the gates. So I immediatley hopped the fence, it was only a 4ft fence. The couple that was there had pushed down a part of the fence on the other side of the property. When I first drove by the property I saw that an officer had someone pulled over just a half block down the street. I'll explain this in a minute. Ok so here we are on the grounds of this old victorian mansion. myself, the girls and this couple. We looked around, all was good until this womans boyfriend decides to open the celler door which set off the alarm, that was extremely loud, and all I could think about was that officer a half block away, and how embarrassed I'd be getting caught on private property with my girls. So right away the couple jumped over where it was pushed down, the girls
went right out the gate, and stupid me decides to become some super athlete and hurdle over the fence. I had one big problem though. I had a hole in my levis that got caught on the fence. So there I was dangling, with the girls staring at me. I then paniced, and just ripped myself from the fence thinking that it wasnt very far to fall, seeing as I was hanging half way down it anyways. As soon as I unlatched myself I felt someone
from behind lift me high into the air, then throw me to the ground with such force, on to a rock, that when I went to get up I couldn't, my leg was completely turned backwards with my toes pointed up. Being in shock and the girls crying and I can't get up I took my leg and twisted it back around, then screamed for help from that couple. luckely they were from hesperia also, and the boyfriend was able to take my kids to my moms, while she drove me to the hospital. Just before I went under anestesia, I looked to the window and there stood this giant angry man staring at me. I didn't say anything of course. But after surgury, and after the anestesia wore off the doctor comes in to talk to me, and says "so tell me more about this mansion story, you were talking about while you were under, because I've been practicing for 20 yrs and I've never seen a mess like this, so don't try and tell me you just fell from a 4 ft. fence. So I did tell him what I had felt, and whether it was real or not who knows, but I have 12 long screws that are bolted to two long plates, and had over 100 staples put in my leg to hold it together. I was in a no pressure cast up to my hip for a yr. Then in a cast from below my knee to the top of my leg for another yr. and had to have neck surgury and carpol tunnel surgury on both wrists do to the impact of the fall which put me on S.S.I. for the rest of my life. To this day I get chills, and feel sick every time I pass by there. I'm 51 now.
