Cortland House, Cortland, IN

Back in the 1800's there was a husband and wife who lived in this house. On Thanksgiving, the husband shot his wife with a shotgun, and then killed himself. The wife loved shoes, and had hundreds of them.

When my friends and I went out there two years ago, it was in rough shape. Since the wife loved shoes, I wanted to find them. I heading up stairs, and when I pulled up the floor boards, hundreds of shoes appeared! My friends also did a documentary, and after watching it a few times, you could see "light" shadows walk across the screen. This wasn't any of us!

I went out there last night, and it looked renovated. I don't know why, but it did. Here are some pictures from 2 years ago.
